It is said that people who are strong should not bully those who are weak. I am writing to express my concern about the issues of child abuse as my neighbors are suspected of mistreating their children. In the last few weeks, I have been witnessing several incidents of suspected family violence near my neighborhood, which I believe must only have been the tip of the iceberg. As far as I know, the Welfare Department dedicates resources to safeguarding the rights and welfare of children. By uncovering these cases, not only do I hope to shed light on the grave problem of family brutality that is rampant in our society, but also propose that appropriate measures be properly taken to rectify the aggravating problem.
